این ترانه مانسون در The Matrix Soundtrack و Midnight Club 3 نیز وجود داره.
این ترانه شاید به عنوان انتقادی از گروه راک جوان و تازه کاری دیده بشه: “Your sex and your dope is all that we’re fed; so fuck all your protests, put them to bed.”
(همه اون چیزی که ما دریافت می کنیم، سکس و مواد تو هستن. پس لعنت به تمام اعتراضاتت. )
مفهوم:
عنوان ترانه به نظر می رسه که اشاره ای داشته باشه به علاقه مانسون از فلسفه Friedrich Nietzsche1. در این حالت خاص، حداقل بنا به عنوان ترانه، عقیده ش راجع به God is dead.
وقتی لیریک در مورد شخصیت Omega خونده میشه، به عقیده Nietzsche در مورد مسیحیت برمی گرده. (انفرادا عقیده پسین)
هم چنین می تونه به فرهنگ Western برگرده که اکثرا مورد قبول واقع شده. عنوان Rock is dead نیز می تونه مشابه استفاده فیلسوف Nietzsche از God is dead باشه.
در مورد ویدیوی این ترانه:
ویدیوی ترانه مانسون را با لباسی (به عنوان Omega) و گروهش (شاید به عنوان باند Mechanical Animals) رو نشون میده که در سن مشغول اجرا هستن.
بعد اونا در حال ویران و نابود کردن ابزار و آلاتشون دیده میشن.
نسخه دیگری از ویدیو (promotional) با صحنه هایی از The Matrix ویرایش شده.
